About Madd Monkey Garage, LLC Troutman, NC

From 1937 to 1977, James Amico owned and operated his auto repair shop The Rye Station Garage in Rye, NY. His grandson Jim would observe him in the garage servicing cars and developed a love and admiration of the automobile. In Jim’s teenage and young adult years, he spent his time restoring hot rods like a 1966 Chevy Caprice, 1964 Oldsmobile F-85, and 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport. Jim followed in his grandfather’s footsteps in providing honest and fair service always treating all his customers with respect and dignity. He opened his own auto repair shop in Rye, NY in 2008 in honor of his Grandfather. Then in 2014, he brought his love and knowledge of auto repair down to Troutman, NC to continue to do what he loves.
